As an OT Cyber-Security Expert within our Project Engineering, you are primarily responsible for ensuring and continuously developing the cybersecurity of our products and services in customer facilities. You work at the interface between IT and OT and make a decisive contribution to protecting our railway control systems from cyberattacks.
Your tasks
- Consulting and support in the secure design and implementation of OT architectures and solutions (e.g., network segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure remote access)
- Support in responding to security incidents including analysis, containment, and recovery
- Conducting risk analyses, security audits, and assessments to identify potential threats
- Technical advice to internal and external stakeholders (customers, project teams, operations personnel) on OT cybersecurity topics and conducting training and workshops
- Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and industry standards in the field of OT cybersecurity
Your profile
- Several years of professional experience (at least 5-7 years) in cybersecurity, ideally with a focus on Operational Technology (OT)
- Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., GICSP, CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISA/IEC 62443) desirable
- In-depth knowledge of the requirements of applications in the OT environment (ideally rail) including the specifics of OT networks and components
- Deep understanding of network and system security (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, authentication, encryption, EDR) and common attack methods
- Practical experience with cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, BSI IT-Grundschutz
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working. Experience in creating risk analyses and incident prevention with the MITRE ATT&CK® Framework
- Good communication skills in German and English as well as the ability to present complex technical issues clearly
