Are you interested in how food is produced? Do you want to combine natural sciences and practical work? As a Food Technologist (part-time), you will learn how safe, high-quality and tasty products are created from carefully selected raw materials.

During your three-year training, you will gain exciting insights into food production. You will work with modern equipment, monitor manufacturing processes and learn how quality, hygiene and efficiency interact.

Your tasks

• You produce food according to specified recipes and procedures
• You weigh raw materials and prepare them for production
• You operate and monitor production equipment
• You check temperature, weight, consistency and other quality characteristics
• You carry out simple analyses and quality controls
• You document production data and work steps
• You recognise deviations and respond appropriately
• You comply with strict hygiene, safety and quality regulations
• You assist with cleaning, changeover and maintenance work

• You have an interest in food, natural sciences and technology
• You work carefully, cleanly and responsibly
• You have a good understanding of numbers and relationships
• You are practically minded and like to get stuck in
• You can concentrate well and work reliably
• You are curious and willing to get to know different production areas
• You enjoy working in a team
• You have a good qualification from FL secondary school / CH secondary school
