Head of Production Vegetable Processing

In this position, you report directly to the Operations Manager. After a thorough introduction, you will lead the operational production processes through a second management level. You plan the deployment of around thirty permanent employees as well as thirty to forty temporary staff and ensure compliance with quality standards, food safety and hygiene regulations. Your main tasks also include continuous process optimisation using Lean Management and building sustainable relationships with the internal specialist departments you support. In all your activities, you benefit from short decision-making paths.

Tasks

• Technical and personnel management over two management levels in production
• Production planning, capacity and resource control in shift operations
• Shopfloor management with continuous process optimisations
• Occupational safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Close cooperation with your superior, the Operations Manager
• Participation in investment decisions
• Budget responsibility for your production area

Profile

• Professional training in the food industry with further advanced training
• Leadership experience and ability to communicate clearly, competently and consistently
• Proven track record as a production manager in process improvements according to Lean Management
• Sound experience in food safety and quality management
• Joy and enthusiasm for food processing in a Swiss SME
• Good knowledge of German and French
