Main tasks

Do you want to take on responsibility, shape processes, and make an impact both operationally and strategically? Then we are looking for you! For our location in Murten, we are seeking a motivated and assertive personality as Head of Operational Purchasing (m/f/d).

• You ensure the supply of the company with the necessary goods and services – always under the best conditions.
• You lead and are responsible for all operational purchasing processes – from ordering to scheduling to monitoring.
• You monitor open orders and take targeted action if necessary.
• You handle complaints (e.g., quantity, quality, timing, or price deviations).
• You create new items and maintain supplier and item master data.
• You create forecasts and monitor repair orders.
• You continuously drive process optimizations in operational purchasing (including inventory optimization).
• You contribute your expertise consultatively and support strategic purchasing with budget issues.
• You lead the team both technically and personally and take on budget responsibility.
• You represent other clerks in their absence.
• You are involved in supplier discussions and conduct some of them yourself (in coordination with strategic purchasing).
• You prepare and maintain key figures.
• You actively participate in working and project groups.
• You handle special tasks and assignments as needed.

Education

• You have completed a technical vocational training.
• You have additional training in purchasing or logistics.
• You have completed further training in personnel management.

Profile

• You speak German at a native level and can communicate well in French and English (spoken/written).
• You have very good PC/IT skills (especially MS Office and ERP systems).
• You are performance-oriented, resilient, and work independently.
• You bring team spirit, initiative, and perseverance.
• You are open to new approaches and act flexibly and solution-oriented.
• You possess organizational talent, conceptual thinking, and assertiveness.
