The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and the municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural, and associative field actions carried out by centers and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general objective of preventing social exclusion.
Open for application within the Maison de quartier de l’Etang, a new sociocultural animation system with joint management by FASe - Commune, for a 70% socio-educational assistant position.
Job Description
- Ensure the animation and supervision of activities for children and adolescents within the framework of free reception;
- Ensure the preparation and follow-up of actions, as well as animation projects under the responsibility of the animation team.
Qualifications
- Be in possession of or in the process of obtaining a CFC socio-educational assistant or an equivalent title or similar professional experience;
- Desired experience (e.g., monitor) in sociocultural animation with young people aged 4 to 25 and genuine motivation to offer social support;
- Successful experience in sociocultural animation;
- Ability to work within free reception frameworks with child, adolescent, adult, and other populations;
- Charisma and interpersonal skills, aptitude for kindness, listening, self-questioning, and conflict management;
- Ability and willingness to work in a team and network, creative and dynamic spirit;
- Experience in organization and planning, managing priorities and emergencies;
- Use of common computer software, rigor and respect for deadlines;
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social system and the functioning of FASe.
Additional Information
- Open to flexible hours: activities some mornings, afternoons, and evenings, possible on weekends and regularly during school holidays and full day Wednesdays;
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 10;
- Start date: as soon as possible;
