We are looking for a
Harness Designer
Location: Canton of Fribourg
Contract: Temporary contract of 2 months
Your responsibilities:

Design and optimize wiring harness assemblies for combustion engines, balancing technical, schedule, and cost targets based on customer needs.

Prepare technical presentations and define wiring harness topology and strategy in collaboration with the E/E design team.

Create and manage 2D drawings. Expertise in Zuken E3 is essential; proficiency in PTC CREO Cabling is a plus.

Develop bills of materials (BOM) for wiring harness assemblies.

Specify cabling components, such as electrical cables, connectors, and fasteners, in line with functional requirements and industry standards.

Support PLM system workflows, including BOM creation, lifecycle management, and release processes.

Author and maintain technical documentation and component specifications.

Plan, execute, and evaluate validation tests for prototypes and series production.

Collaborate with internal project teams and component suppliers to resolve technical issues and clarify component specifications.
Your profile:
-
Completed technical training or comparable qualifications in electro-mechanical design

Several years of experience working in wiring harness design

Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Zuken E3, PTC Creo Cabling, and PLM Albatros

Autonomous, committed, and possess strong organizational skills. Flexible and resilient, comfortable working in a multicultural environment, with a goal-oriented and innovative approach

Fluent in French, with good knowledge of English and German highly desirable

Willingness to work on defense applications
