As a Professional Education & Development Manager (m/f/d) - Vision Care DACH, you are responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous advancement of educational and training programmes (e.g. for contact lens fitting) for opticians, optometrists, and other professional groups with a focus on Switzerland. You work closely with internal and external stakeholders and promote knowledge transfer about Alcon products, technologies, and clinical topics. The place of work is home office.
A typical working day in this role includes:
- Development, planning, and delivery of educational, training, and continuing education programmes for customers and professional partners.
- Creation of training materials, presentations, and digital learning content.
- Organisation and conduct of training sessions and workshops.
- Organisation of participation in congresses.
- Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), universities, and professional associations; active participation in association work.
- Professional and technical support for customers as well as internal teams.
- Presentation of scientific and clinical content at professional events.
- Evaluation and continuous optimisation of training programmes.
- Management of projects in the area of Professional Education & Development.
WHAT YOU BRING TO ALCON:
- A completed degree in optometry/optics as well as several years of professional experience in optometry/optics and in contact lens fitting are absolutely essential.
- Experience in planning and conducting training, workshops, and events for Eye Care Professionals (ECPs).
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- High personal responsibility as well as pronounced project management and organisational skills.
- An existing network within the Swiss optometry and optics industry is an advantage.
- Very good German, English, and French language skills.
