The Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Network, with the Herisau Acute Hospital and the AR Psychiatric Centre in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.

We are looking for

In the acute somatic care sector under the leadership of Ms Dagmar Steinle, we are seeking immediately or by arrangement a Certified Expert NDS Intensive Care with an additional function as a vocational trainer for a workload of 50-100%.

Attractive tasks

• Vocational training 20% for short internships in HF nursing, IMC and NDS intensive care. As a Certified Expert in Intensive Care, you are actively involved in the further education of our students
• You accompany, promote and enable the students individually tailored to their level of training and according to the requirements of the training concept
• You plan and conduct learning activities such as learning support, inductions, discussions, qualifications and learning days. You are responsible for the design and evaluation of the students’ learning process
• Responsibility for intensive care patients with varying complex health impairments, taking into account the nursing and treatment concept in the intensive care unit with six nursing beds, including two ventilation places
• Professional collaboration with doctors from various disciplines
• Administration and provision of medications, infusions and devices as well as their safe use on patients
• Nursing documentation and other administrative tasks
• Participation in working and project groups in consultation with the intensive care unit team management

Therefore, we want you

• Completed training as a Certified Expert NDS Intensive Care
• Completed pedagogical further training (SVEB 1)
• You enjoy accompanying & motivating students and trainees
• Professional experience desirable
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form
• You live a pronounced team spirit and maintain a patient-oriented working style
• You enjoy working in a small, committed, reliable and motivated team
