Company Description
The Princely Regional Court (www.gerichte.li) is the first instance of the ordinary judiciary and decides in civil and criminal cases. It offers qualified lawyers a training position as a judicial trainee.
Job Description
You feel at home in the following areas of activity:
- Learning the ability to handle civil and criminal cases within the statutory jurisdiction of the courts or the public prosecutor's office
- Applying your conceptual thinking, your quick and precise working method, as well as your ability to express yourself orally and in writing in a structured and concise manner
- Exercising your pronounced social skills
Qualifications
You are particularly characterised for this position by:
- Successful completion of a degree in Austrian or Swiss law at a university with a Master’s, Licentiate, Magister of Law, or an equivalent diploma
- Completed practical work at a Liechtenstein court or at the Liechtenstein Public Prosecutor's Office (at least six months in total)
- Foreign language skills, especially English
- Interest in the profession of judge or public prosecutor
- Liechtenstein citizenship (Art. 7 para. 3 RDG)
Additional Information
As an attractive employer, we offer you:
- Three-year training, whereby previous practical legal professional activity at a Liechtenstein court or at the Liechtenstein Public Prosecutor's Office is credited; the duration of the training can be shortened by up to two years if, upon entry into the judicial preparatory service, the qualification to practise as a lawyer in Liechtenstein is already present (Art. 10 para. 1 RDG); otherwise, you will take the bar exam during the training
- Training, among others, at the Regional Court or the Public Prosecutor's Office, at the Higher Court, at the Supreme Court, at a government authority of the country, or abroad based on an interstate agreement (Art. 10 para. 4 and Art. 11 para. 1 RDG)
- Upon successful completion of the training: obtaining the qualification for a future role as a full-time judge or public prosecutor
