Your tasks
- Management of the traffic management department with around ten specialists in the areas of timetable planning, service planning, construction site coordination, and traffic control
- Coordination and implementation of the annual timetable planning as well as planning of special timetables for major events, events, and construction sites throughout the BLT line network
- Responsibility for the strategic further development of the public transport offer, especially in the area of regional passenger transport (RPV) as well as special lines and major events
- Development and implementation of service planning within the framework of service contracts, including determination of vehicle types, connection assurance, frequencies, and stop nodes
- Responsibility for planning, coordination, and communication regarding construction sites in the line network, including timetable adjustments and passenger information
- Optimization of operational processes as well as management of strategic projects in traffic management on behalf of the COO
- Representation of company interests in political procedures and active shaping of the public transport offer in cooperation with cantons and municipalities
Your profile
- Completed basic training with further education as a public transport manager, technician, public transport specialist, or traffic engineer, or alternatively a completed degree in a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience and good knowledge of public transport in Switzerland, ideally in the areas of RPV, service design, timetable management, traffic planning, service agreements, and ordered systems
- Leadership experience in a comparable role with a positive leadership understanding based on empowerment, teamwork, and a "we move forward" mentality
- Very good communication skills, flawless German skills, and enjoyment or experience in working with authorities, associations, and political bodies
- Good network and anchoring in the Basel-Landschaft region
- Very high IT affinity including good knowledge of MS Office package, as well as IVU-Plan is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, structured working method, and resilience
