Portrait of the School/Institution
"Love of movement and curiosity" at Lyssbach School. All thirteen classes from 2nd to 6th school year participate in project lessons on Tuesday afternoons. Half of the children work in cross-class thematic courses: The „school offerings“ are diverse and include what usually has little space in school.
To complement the team, we are looking for a teacher starting the 2026/2027 school year

Tasks
We work every Tuesday afternoon from second to sixth grade in half classes. Half the class is with the class teacher and engaged in project lessons. The other half of the class attends a school offering.
You lead the school offering "Research and Design" weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 13:30 to 15:05. Two groups of 10-13 pupils alternate fortnightly. Both groups are assigned for one year.
Requirements
- You have experience with tinkering, researching, experimenting and trying out with children from Cycle 1
- You work with various materials, letting them roll, fly, spin, balance...
- You enable children to access phenomena such as natural occurrences or unusual facts
- You also let the children think for themselves and look for solutions
