Steel Construction Designer

• Development and design of complex steel structures, complete assemblies and components
• Creation of steel construction models based on planning documents using Tekla Structures
• Preparation of workshop and assembly drawings as well as the associated parts lists
• Carrying out static calculations for the design of connection details
• Checking models with regard to compliance with standards, internal design guidelines and quality standards
• Support in coordination with structural engineers, project management, production and assembly
• Creating measurements as well as project-related documents

• Completed engineering degree in civil engineering (structural engineering), mechanical engineering with a focus on steel construction or a similar course of study
• Technical understanding and enthusiasm for the constructive implementation of steel construction solutions
• Ability to read and interpret planning documents such as architectural and project plans, static calculations, etc.
• Very good IT user skills (Tekla Structures, MS Office)
• Basic knowledge in the static design of steel connections and relevant standards (Eurocode 3, EN1090, etc.)
• Sound knowledge of metal processing and welding technology
• A high degree of responsibility, independence, reliability and communication skills
• Good German language skills, both spoken and written
• Driving licence category B
