Responsible work at the pulse of time – the Migration Office is responsible not only for residence regulations and integration but also for organizing the return of people who, after a lawful procedure, are not allowed to stay in Switzerland and must leave. For the Return Team, we are looking for a case officer from March 1, 2026 or by agreement
Your tasks
You are responsible for organizing the enforcement of expulsion of persons obliged to leave Switzerland. You conduct personal interviews with the affected persons and plan their returns. In this context, you also conduct legal hearings with the affected persons and impose foreign law measures where necessary (especially restrictions and detention). Close cooperation with various partner authorities (federal, cantonal, and municipal) is essential in your daily work. You coordinate in writing and by phone and ensure smooth information exchange.
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in the commercial field within an administrative environment with further education in the legal field
- Several years of professional experience in the administrative area of justice or intervention-oriented administration
- Ideally, experience in migration or foreign law issues
- Confident handling of administrative processes and legal requirements
- Strong communication skills and negotiation ability in conversations
- Confident written and spoken German
- Good oral skills in English and/or French
- Independent and structured way of working
- Good organizational skills and resilience
- Valid driving license category B
