The St.Gallen municipal utilities are the reliable partner for the population and economy of the city of St.Gallen as well as partly the region in the supply of energy, water and fibre optics. The implementation of the new network strategy and the associated increasing demand for PV systems and e-charging stations require the expansion of our capacities. Therefore, we are creating an additional position in the Electricity and Telecom Network department, Services division. For the Control and Permits department, we are looking for a committed person to start immediately or by arrangement as

Electrical Inspector / Electrical Safety Consultant (m/f/d) 80 - 100%

We actively shape the energy transition and are looking for a motivated person who wants to actively participate in this change.

Your responsibilities:

• Conducting random and factory inspections including documentation of results.
• Technical review of installation notifications and technical connection applications.
• Ensuring compliance with technical projects and responsibility for permits.
• Processing applications for energy consumption, especially PV systems and e-charging stations.
• Advising customers on network connections and carrying out control measurements.
• Providing information on tariff, energy and safety issues as well as assessing safety certificates.

Your profile:

• Training as an electrical installer EFZ with several years of professional experience.
• Further training as an electrical safety consultant FA or electrical project manager completed, in training or willing to complete this qualification alongside work.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, ideally experience with ElektroForm and innosolvenergy.
• Driving licence category B and willingness to spend 50 – 60% of the activity travelling within the city of St. Gallen and Wittenbach.
• Independent, precise and structured way of working.
• Reliable personality with team spirit and strong customer orientation.
• Situational assessment and consistent implementation of safety requirements with appropriate assertiveness.
