About the job
Following the resignation of the current Central President, we are seeking a communicative and charismatic personality as Central President (30%) from June 2027 (Delegates' Assembly).
As Chair of the Central Board (ZV), you are part of the strategic leadership level and play a significant role in developing the association's strategic goals. Promoting the reputation of the industry and the association, as well as loyalty to the interests of the members, are among your central tasks.
Your area of responsibility
You lead the meetings of the Central Board, the Presidents' Conference, the Presidential Committee, and the annual Delegates' Assembly.
You represent the Central Board at section events and other occasions in coordination with the office.
You support the dissemination of the Central Board's strategic decisions.
You represent the AGVS towards politics, other associations, business, and the public, and actively lobby for the industry.
You participate in commission, coordination, and working group meetings where the highest strategic association leadership is required.
You take a seat in the Presidential Conference of the "strassschweiz" association.
Your profile
You have strong communication and presentation skills and a confident, poised manner with convincing rhetoric. Additionally, you bring the following qualities:
Knowledge of the political landscape and processes
Proven good network in the industry, business, and politics
High identification with the automotive industry and a correspondingly high prioritisation of the mandate
Entrepreneurial thinking and acting with strategic foresight and visionary thinking
Ideally, you have experience in the garage or automotive service environment
Swiss citizen and resident in Switzerland
Personally, you convince with a professional, authentic, and office-appropriate appearance as well as your approachable and credible manner.
