About the job
Deutsche Bahn is not only one of the most important mobility service providers but also one of the largest engineering firms in Germany. To realise and maintain new bridges, tunnels, stations, tracks, and signalling systems, more than 10,000 engineers currently work with us – far from enough. As an engineer at Deutsche Bahn, you can plan, manage, or supervise something that lasts: the infrastructure for future generations.
We are looking for you as a (Junior) Electrical Engineer as Construction Supervisor for Railway Control and Safety Technology (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at the Frankfurt am Main and Koblenz locations as soon as possible.
Your tasks:
- As a construction supervisor for control and safety technology, you ensure the contract-compliant realisation of construction projects
- Your focus in the construction projects lies in the area of control and safety technology
- When construction measures are carried out, you ensure safe construction operations and supervise the contract-compliant performance of the construction companies
- You have a holistic view of your construction sites, organise coordination between internal and external parties, document construction progress, and monitor costs, deadlines, and quality of the construction measures
- In this context, you are responsible for ensuring that the requirements from the technically reviewed and building authority-approved plans are implemented and that safety and environmental protection regulations are adhered to
- You are in charge of approvals for construction invoices and supplementary checks and also organise the acceptance of construction services
- In case of deviations in the construction schedule or if something goes wrong on site, you communicate this in good time and coordinate any necessary countermeasures to bring the construction project back "on track"
Your profile:
- As a basis for this job, you have successfully completed a technical or university degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable course of study with a focus on electrical engineering
- You have successfully completed the functional training as a construction supervisor or are willing to further qualify accordingly and shine with your practical experience in the construction sector
- You feel more comfortable with a helmet and safety vest than in a suit or dress; you appreciate the mix of working in the office and outdoors on the construction site – including night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- You convince with your strong sense of responsibility, are a coordination talent, have assertiveness, and strengthen our team through a committed, reliable, and independent working style
- Furthermore, you are a team player, prefer a communicative job, show negotiation skills, and do not easily lose your composure even in stressful situations
- You bring unrestricted health suitability (checked during the application process)
- You hold a valid class B driving licence – as a trained railway construction supervisor, you are entitled to a company car for private use (1% rule)
