Head of Construction Planning (Construction Administrator) 90 - 100 %
 

Area of Responsibility

As Head of Construction Planning, you will be responsible for the following areas:

• Management and personnel leadership of the Construction Planning department (Construction Planning case management / Civil Engineering Utilities department management)
• Professional and efficient handling of building permit procedures
• Building police tasks, building inspections, and building controls
• Ensuring the development of the municipality in terms of development engineering and traffic planning
• Professional and legal advice to municipal authorities
• Preparation and management of planning assignments in the areas of planning, local planning, and environment, as well as management of land-use planning and contribution procedures
• Construction management of small and senior construction management of larger infrastructure projects
• Supervision of the Civil Engineering / Building Inspectorate / Environment department (management of municipal infrastructure/municipal properties)

Profile / Requirements
You have a completed degree in architecture or engineering, or a completed apprenticeship as a structural or civil engineering draughtsman, or an equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience in a similar role in the construction industry or in public administration as Head of Construction Planning. Knowledge in the building police area and in planning – specifically spatial, local planning / zoning plans and development concepts – is required. Interest in legal matters and an understanding of politics as well as environmental concerns are advantageous. You are distinguished by your organisational and negotiation skills as well as your leadership qualities and are flexible, assertive, and resilient. An exact, reliable, and independent working style completes your profile. You are adept in personal and written communication with the public, authorities, and offices. Furthermore, you are willing to attend evening meetings.
