Welcome to Aarwangen! The Aarwangen school is located in Oberaargau in the agglomeration of Langenthal. We see ourselves as an inclusive school. Around 540 children are taught in 27 mixed-age classes, of which five are kindergarten classes.
Our school is led by a supportive school management team. The collaboration between teachers is highly valued by all. All classes are supported by school special education teachers and DaZ teachers.
The Sonnhalde school complex houses three school buildings, two kindergartens, the day school, sports facilities, the swimming pool with a teaching pool, and the auditorium. Three more kindergartens are distributed throughout the village.
From the 2027/28 school year, we will additionally run a basic level class in the East school building.

Tasks
You will teach the newly opened basic level class in a team with a weekly workload of 14-16 lessons. The basic level team works closely with our specialist teachers (IF, DaZ, speech therapy).
The role of the class teacher is shared within the team. Together with your job partner, you will set up the new basic level rooms, jointly design the timetable, and adapt the internal concept. In addition, the class team will be supported for the start by PH Bern.
Requirements
You have a corresponding level diploma or will complete it soon. Preferably, you complement the basic level team with your professional experience at level 1st/2nd grade or in a basic level.
You are a conscientious, communicative, committed, and resilient personality and are accustomed to dealing with children, teachers, and parents. You enjoy teaching in a team and are interested in the basic level model.
