The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory, with a total of 1,000 beds. The organisation effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and local hospital service, regardless of where the services are required.

Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relationships, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.

To complete our team for the new EOC Occupational Medicine Service, we are looking for:

Two nurses for the EOC Occupational Medicine Service (100%)

The Occupational Medicine Service operates across the various EOC sites with the aim of protecting and promoting the health of employees, preventing occupational risks, and ensuring health surveillance activities.

Main tasks:

• collaborate with the occupational physician in clinical activities and health surveillance aimed at EOC employees and workers of client companies, including vaccinations, blood sampling, diagnostic tests, and follow-up;
• take charge of employees in case of occupational exposures or work-related health issues, applying the prescribed protocols and ensuring monitoring;
• act as the nursing reference for occupational medicine within the assigned activity sites, collaborating with other Service professionals according to a multi-site model;
• participate in the assessment of occupational risks, inspections, and investigations in collaboration with the occupational physician and other occupational health and safety specialists;
• contribute to the development and implementation of prevention, health promotion, and employee health protection programmes and projects;
• participate in the development of procedures and in training and continuous improvement activities of the Service.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor SUPSI in Nursing and/or SSSCI diploma (or recognised equivalent foreign qualification);
• at least three years of professional experience in nursing;
• good organisational and interpersonal skills, professional autonomy, and aptitude for multidisciplinary team work;
• good knowledge of computer applications (Office package);
• proven knowledge of the Italian language, knowledge of a second national language and English is desirable;
• availability and flexibility to work at different EOC sites and, within the services provided by the Service to client companies, at their premises;
• specific training or documented experience in occupational medicine;
• professional experience in acute hospital care;
• CAS Health and Safety at Work or equivalent training;
• experience as a clinical nurse, trainer, or project coordinator.

Candidates not yet holding specialist training are required to be willing to acquire specific skills in occupational medicine.
