Internal Auditor with IT Skills (100%)
Profile:
The position is part of the Internal Audit Service and collaborates in carrying out operational audit and consultancy assignments. The person will work supporting the Senior Internal Auditor and in close collaboration with the Head of Internal Audit, contributing to ensuring the effective implementation of the internal audit plan, compliance with deadlines and quality standards, as well as the quality of the results produced by the Service.
The role mainly involves operational and consultancy audits, carried out according to the methodological approach and coordination of the Senior Internal Auditor, while also assuming an autonomous operational role in identifying and assessing IT risks, conducting IT audits and evaluating controls related to information systems. The person also supports the innovation of work tools – particularly in IT and data analytics – and participates in the independent monitoring of the risk management system, the internal control system and compliance.
Position in the organisation:
The Internal Auditor reports to the Head of Internal Audit of EOC, directly subordinate to the Board of Directors. The position interacts with the General Management, Operational Areas, Cross-functional Services and Units involved in audits.
For the following tasks:
- carry out operational audit assignments and consultancy assignments of the respective audit plan;
- contribute to the implementation of the internal audit strategy;
- support the service in the innovation process of audit methodologies and in the development of an advanced data analysis system for continuous monitoring;
- support the service in the independent monitoring of risk management, the internal control system and compliance;
- conduct IT audits and evaluate controls related to information systems and main company applications;
- ensure IT risk analysis in audits;
- act as an internal reference for IT and digital aspects within the activities of the Internal Audit Service;
- collaborate in the development of data analysis and continuous monitoring tools;
- participate in the drafting of audit reports and formulation of recommendations;
- monitor the implementation of recommendations in collaboration with sector managers and the senior internal auditor;
- collaborate with external control bodies and provide support.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master in business administration, finance, management engineering or computer engineering (or equivalent training/experience);
- at least 3 years of professional experience in internal audit, external audit, consultancy or internal control/risk management;
- experience in using data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, advanced Excel or similar tools);
- ability to identify and analyse risks, including IT risks;
- in-depth knowledge of standard IT solutions such as the Microsoft platform;
- relational, communication skills and team working attitude;
- integrity, autonomy of judgement, ability to handle sensitive information and initiative;
- precision and accuracy in performing assigned tasks;
- analytical and problem-solving skills;
- identification with EOC values;
- native Italian speaker, with good/excellent knowledge of at least one other national language and English.
