As an IT System Engineer, you ensure the reliable, secure and high-performance operation of our IT infrastructure. In doing so, you actively shape the further development of our IT strategy and take on a key role in optimising our server, network and security infrastructure. With your technical expertise, solution-oriented thinking and high quality standards, you ensure that our IT always meets today’s and future requirements.
What you can achieve
- Operation, administration, maintenance and further development of the IT infrastructure (on-premise & cloud) including servers, network, clients, hardware/software as well as IT security, ensuring availability, performance, stability and system optimisations
- Monitoring of systems and services, proactive fault analysis and troubleshooting as well as ensuring backup/restore and implementation of modern IT security measures (endpoint, network, access protection, MFA, policies and hardening)
- 2nd-/3rd-level support, analysis and resolution of complex incidents as well as collaboration with the service desk and external partners
- Administration and further development of server, network and directory services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP), switches, firewalls and WLAN as well as ensuring a stable, secure network architecture
- IT documentation and process management (system documentation, operating instructions as well as standardisation and optimisation of IT processes)
- Participation in IT projects as well as evaluation of new technologies, development of architecture and infrastructure concepts and contribution to the further development of the IT strategy
What distinguishes you
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or IT management – or vocational training in the IT field with several years of professional experience
- Several years of experience in the operation and administration of modern IT infrastructures as well as in system and network management
- Sound knowledge in the areas of monitoring, backup, IT security and system availability
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented way of thinking
- Independent, responsible and pragmatic working style with high documentation quality
