Youth Worker (30%)

About the job

We want to maintain and strengthen contact with young people. Therefore, we are looking for a youth worker (30%) starting 1 November or by arrangement.

Your main tasks
• You work on a project basis in the field of open church youth work (e.g. weekend, trip, cave tour or your own ideas) and with the Firmweg 17+
• You network physically and digitally with young people and young adults aged between 16 and 25, as well as with other players in the lake communities (JuSee, Jubla, Landjugend)
• You offer yourself as a reliable conversation partner
• You maintain professional exchange with youth work in the Lucerne regional church
• In addition, you plan an annual 4-day stage on the Way of St James through Switzerland for sixth graders during the school holidays and lead it. Support is possible from the current person responsible in the first year.

Your profile
• Enjoyment of relationships and conversations, innovation and participation
• Willingness for irregular working hours
• Religious education or social training, possibly with additional qualification in church youth work or willingness to further train in this regard
• # @ Instagram, Linktree, Tiktok & Co: Positive affinity for digital worlds
• Confident appearance, combined with high appreciation for your counterpart
• Team-oriented personality committed to a Christian view of humanity
• Enjoyment of outdoor activities and openness to spiritual topics and questions
• You are a member of a regional church
