Head of Sea Freight Pratteln

Your tasks

• You will take on the professional and disciplinary leadership of the team in Pratteln and ensure efficient and customer-oriented collaboration.
• In the area of sea freight, you are responsible for handling imports and exports, developing suitable transport solutions, and supporting the entire shipment process from order acceptance to billing.
• Looking after our key accounts, maintaining the network, and coordinating cooperation with internal and external partners also fall within your area of responsibility.
• You analyse existing processes and costs, identify optimisation potentials, and actively drive the further development and digitalisation of our procedures.
• Additionally, you support compliance with our Sieber QM standards and participate in group-wide projects as well as other cross-departmental initiatives.

Our requirements

• You have completed training in forwarding/logistics and possess solid professional experience in sea freight, especially in import and export.
• Leadership experience as well as an independent, solution-oriented, and responsible working style distinguish you and are complemented by your strong communication and social skills.
• Good knowledge of international transport handling and experience in the professional support and coordination of customers, internal departments, and external partners complete your profile.
• You have good German and English skills as well as French skills at B1 level and work confidently with common MS Office applications.
• Enjoyment in developing processes further and a willingness to actively promote digitalisation are also part of your profile.
