Associate Psychologist for the Neurorehabilitation Service
The University Neurorehabilitation Service of the DNC is seeking a 50% associate psychologist from 1 October 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences brings together the neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation services, the Leenaards Memory Centre, the Neuroscience Research Centre and the Spinal Surgery Service. It offers integrated and personalised care to patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, from brain to muscle.
The University Neurorehabilitation Service is involved in the treatment of all types of nervous system injuries (traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain tumours, encephalitis, etc.). The service provides highly specialised and interdisciplinary care throughout the patients’ recovery journey, from inpatient to outpatient phase.
Mission
- You contribute to the management, organisation and development of the sector, coordinating clinical activity, promoting collaboration and coordination with other CHUV services (neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, etc.), the Lavigny Institution and other partners (SUVA, etc.), and supporting the manager in management and projects
- You ensure clinical activity and supervision, managing patients, supervising staff and trainees, guaranteeing the quality of services and keeping your knowledge up to date
- You provide a rich and varied clinical activity, assessing and managing outpatients.
- You supervise and oversee specialist psychologists, trainees and other involved professionals, ensuring the quality of examinations, treatments and reports
- You support and develop the skills of your colleagues, while ensuring continuous updating of clinical practices according to scientific advances and the requirements of the FSP specialisation title
- You contribute to the management of the unit and the smooth running of the service, supporting management, proposing improvements, assessing needs and participating in committees and management meetings
- You provide training and teaching, giving courses and seminars, training various professionals and contributing to the organisation of scientific events.
Profile
- You are a qualified psychologist (Master’s or equivalent) recognised as a specialist in neuropsychology (FSP title or federal postgraduate qualification)
- You bring solid experience of at least 5 years in clinical neuropsychology (including internships) and in-depth knowledge in this field
- You work autonomously and responsibly, while mastering the functioning of a complex institutional environment
- You have reading proficiency in English and the necessary skills to assess patients in another foreign language
- You use basic computer tools with ease.
