SUP Chemist / SUP Environmental Engineer

The Office for Nature and Environment (UNA) is a service of the Department of Education, Culture, and Environmental Protection. UNA is responsible for the cantonal implementation of laws on water protection, environmental protection, and nature and landscape protection.
For January 1st, 2027 or by agreement, we are looking for a SUP chemist / SUP environmental engineer
- Supervision of the operation of public and industrial wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) in the canton of Graubünden
- Analysis of operational data from WWTPs and verification of compliance with discharge conditions
- Evaluation of control reports related to comparative analyses and preparation of annual reports for all WWTPs
- Verification of internal analytics, identification of causes in case of deviations, and training of operating personnel in wastewater analytics
- Visits to WWTPs to obtain direct information about their operation
- Completed studies as a SUP chemist or SUP environmental engineer with in-depth knowledge and experience in process engineering and wastewater analytics.
- Willingness to attend VSA training for wastewater treatment plant personnel
- Confidence in demeanor, negotiation skills, independent working style, good communication skills, and team spirit Good expressive skills in German, both oral and written; knowledge of Italian and Romansh is an advantage
- Category B driving license.
