About the job
The St.Gallen municipal utilities are the reliable partner for the population and economy of the city of St.Gallen as well as partly for the region in the supply of energy, water and fibre optics. For the implementation of the Energy Strategy 2050, 80% of electricity meters must be replaced by smart meters by 2027. To successfully manage this large volume, we have created an additional position and are looking for a committed individual for our Electricity and Telecom Network department immediately or by arrangement as
Electrician Smart Meter Rollout (m/f/d) 80 - 100%
We actively shape the energy transition and are looking for a motivated person who wants to actively participate in this change.
This is what you will do:
- Installation of hardware components for the smart meter rollout.
- Inspection of installed hardware for quality execution and preparation of evaluations.
- Carrying out measurements for communication cleansing and developing solutions in this context.
- Assisting in the analysis and rectification of data gaps.
- Troubleshooting and performing adjustment and supplementary work on measuring and communication devices.
- Close support of rollout processes and implementation of cleansing measures in coordination with the regional project manager.
This is what you bring:
- Completed vocational training as an electrician or assembly electrician EFZ.
- Ideally, initial or solid professional experience in electrical installation and/or an electricity supply company (EVU).
- Willingness to spend a large part of the working hours travelling in the St. Gallen area, including holding a category B driving licence.
- Interest in ICT is an advantage.
- High social and communication skills as well as pronounced analytical thinking ability.
