Career, Study and Career Counsellor 60 - 80%Good for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. Children, young people and families are at the centre of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
The career, study and career counselling service informs and advises young people and adults on all questions relating to education and training as well as career and professional development. We are looking for a career, study and career counsellor for biz Uster from 1 April 2027 with a workload of 60 - 80%. The position is limited until 31 December 2027 with the option of extension and later permanent employment.
What to expect
- You advise young people on their initial training choice in one-to-one settings. You conduct the consultations during school office hours and at the biz.
- You work closely with secondary schools and organise class and parent orientations.
- You advise and support adults in their career development.
- You participate in the information centre, events and projects.
- You contribute your ideas and actively help shape our offerings.
Your profile
- Completed or well-advanced MAS/CCHRM training in career, study and career counselling
- Preferably several years of work experience outside the counselling environment
- Strong communication and counselling skills as well as sound knowledge of counselling methods and diagnostic tools
- Engaging manner, high service and customer orientation
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Growth mindset; continuous personal and professional development is a matter of course for you
- Proficient use of Microsoft 365 and other digital tools
