Wädenswil is an attractive town on the left shore of Lake Zurich with around 26,000 inhabitants. Approximately 380 employees work in the town administration, providing comprehensive services to the population on a daily basis.

The asylum and housing support of the town of Wädenswil belongs to the Social Department and is part of the Social Services office. The asylum and housing support is responsible for comprehensive case management of persons from the asylum sector. In addition, it supports people who are threatened by or affected by homelessness and accommodates them in shelters as part of supported living.

Your areas of responsibility include

• taking technical co-responsibility for our various accommodations
• organisation and coordination of appointments with craftsmen
• preparation and furnishing of living space
• management of our storerooms as well as provision of required materials and equipment
• minor repair, maintenance, and restoration work
• support with technical and practical questions concerning our accommodations
• involving clients to enable them to acquire practical skills

What you bring

• Category B driving licence
• professional experience in caretaking, technical maintenance, or as an all-rounder
• technical flair and knowledge in building services engineering
• independent, reliable, and responsible working style
• good physical and mental resilience
• organisational skills and flexibility
• openness and respect towards people from different cultural backgrounds
• appreciative and patient interaction with people in difficult life situations
