Legal Intern with MLaw/BLaw 80% - 100% (Fixed-term position for 6 months)
The Legal Advice Centre Zurich provides asylum seekers and third parties (private individuals, authorities, organisations) with legal advice on all questions concerning the Swiss asylum procedure, regulation of residence status, and social issues. In particular, the ZBA is an important contact and information point for other aid organisations and authorities. Furthermore, qualified information is provided on broader foreign law issues. In cases of social and health problems, the advice centre supports and mediates for those seeking advice.
We are looking for a committed individual from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement as
These are your main tasks:
- Legal clarifications and individual case assessments
- Accompanying asylum seekers to supplementary hearings in the extended asylum procedure
- Supporting lawyers with legal submissions to the Federal Administrative Court, the State Secretariat for Migration SEM, or the cantonal authorities
- Personal and telephone legal consultations
Ideally, you bring the following:
- Law studies (with interest in asylum and foreign law issues)
- Good written expression
- Enjoyment and sensitivity in dealing with people from different cultures
- Good oral foreign language skills, especially French and English, other languages advantageous
- Flexibility, independence, and high resilience
