About the job

Our specialised hospital for social medicine and addiction diseases Sune-Egge offers inpatient and outpatient treatment for patients with combined somatic and psychiatric illnesses. We have 22 acute and 20 long-term care beds for them and work closely with public hospitals, doctors, local specialist centres, and addiction support institutions.

For our outpatient clinic, we are looking for a reliable, flexible professional on a fixed-term basis from January 2027 to September 2027 (maternity cover):

Medical Practice Assistant or Registered Nurse HF 60%

for working days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for a smooth daily routine of the consultation hours
• Consultation assistance (e.g. during minor surgical procedures)
• Coordination, planning and execution of laboratory tests and functional diagnostics (ECG, lung function, Holter ECG, 24h blood pressure, polygraphy)
• Independent performance of blood sampling and wound care (on medical prescription)
• Medication management: preparing medication, preparation and dispensing, including opioid agonist therapy OAT (e.g. methadone)
• Administrative medical assistance (reporting, service recording, registration of OAT with the health directorate, etc.)
• Admission coordination and appointment management for our patients
• Bed disposition

You bring with you:

• Completed training as a Medical Practice Assistant EFZ, Health Professional EFZ with experience as MPA or a comparable medical training with corresponding MPA experience
• Very good skills in venous blood sampling and vascular access with difficult vein conditions
• Orderly and very reliable working method, especially when preparing and dispensing OAT
• Resilience in stressful situations and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• High communication and teamwork skills
• Tolerance in dealing with dependent people and acceptance of addiction as a disease
