Caseworker for Alimony Assistance 100%
The Alimony Assistance is part of the Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB), which is responsible for extracurricular education and child protection in the Canton of Zurich. The Alimony Assistance department provides collection assistance and advance payments of maintenance contributions according to the Child and Youth Assistance Act.
We are looking for an engaged and motivated person with experience in handling alimony cases, who would like to apply their extensive expertise in the Canton of Zurich, starting from November 1, 2025, or by agreement.
Your tasks:
- Representing maintenance claimants in the relevant proceedings
- Claiming maintenance claims from children and spouses
- Processing applications for financial assistance
- Preparing applications to municipalities; executing decisions
- Handling payment transactions
- Preparing statements and reports for the financing municipalities
You bring:
- Completed commercial basic training EFZ with several years of professional experience in the field of alimony or in similarly complex case processing (e.g., debt collection office, social insurance, fiduciary, accounting, collection)
- Ideally, completed further training as an alimony specialist (or the willingness to complete this)
- Good numerical understanding as well as precise and independent working style
- Very good communication skills and assertiveness
- Interest in legal issues (debt collection law, family law)
