Your Tasks
- Specialist medical responsibility for diagnosis and treatment in a socially psychiatric, generally oriented outpatient setting with a focus on geriatric psychiatry
- Holistic assessment of psychiatric, somatic and psychosocial issues
- Planning, management and evaluation of individual treatment concepts
- Support for older people with the aim of maintaining independence and quality of life for as long as possible
- Close cooperation with relatives, general practitioners, specialists, institutions and authorities
- Active participation in the design and further development of modern geriatric psychiatric treatment services
- Promotion of interprofessional collaboration and high treatment quality
- Commitment to the training of assistant doctors, assistant psychologists and medical students at the University of Basel
Your Profile
- Specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy or near completion
- Specialist title in geriatric psychiatry and geriatric psychotherapy or interest in obtaining it
- Enjoyment of outpatient care for older people and resource-oriented treatment
- Interest in networked collaboration with internal and external partners
- Independent, responsible and structured working style
- High social competence and respectful interaction with patients and relatives
- Leadership experience or interest in professional development and participation
- Recognised MEBEKO accreditation
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written (at least level C1)
