The Fribourg Correctional Facility (the institution) consolidates the enforcement facilities of the Canton of Fribourg. It has the legal form of a public-law institution with its own legal personality. It is administratively assigned to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport and is subject to the supervisory authority of the State Council. The institution ensures the guarding, accommodation, care and treatment of prisoners in its custody and contributes to the implementation of the objectives for the enforcement of custodial sentences and measures.

Your tasks
- On-call duty and constant supervision of incarcerated persons
- Manage the disciplinary area
- Supervise during leisure activities and sports
- Manage and organise internal and external movements
- Contribute to the resocialisation of incarcerated persons by positively influencing them
- Ensure discipline, order and security among the inmates
- Apply and enforce the applicable rules and instructions
Desired profile
- Federal VET Diploma, or an equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience
- Federal specialist certificate for prison officers from the Swiss Competence Centre for the Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions or willingness to complete the training
- Good physical and mental fitness as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Sensitivity for interpersonal relationships, communication and conflict management
- Willingness to intervene outside working hours in cases of force majeure
- Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office)
- Clean extracts from debt enforcement and criminal records
- Proficiency in German or French with good knowledge of the other language
