About the job
Your Tasks
As Workshop Manager Rolling Stock Maintenance with ECM4 responsibility, you ensure the safe, economical, and compliant maintenance of the rolling stock fleet. You bear the overall operational responsibility for the "Maintenance Delivery" function according to the ECM regulation and ensure that all maintenance work is carried out professionally, traceably, and in compliance with all legal and internal company requirements.
You combine technical excellence with modern leadership strength and ensure high vehicle availability as well as sustainable quality standards.
Leadership and Workshop Responsibility
- Overall responsibility for the operational workshop operations in rolling stock maintenance
- Leadership, development, and promotion of subordinate employees as well as shift and technical supervisors
- Ensuring efficient personnel, capacity, and resource planning
- Control and monitoring of maintenance, overhauls, fault repairs, and technical special measures
- Ensuring high availability and operational safety of the fleet
ECM4 - Maintenance Delivery
- Responsibility for the ECM4 function according to Regulation (EU) 2019/779
- Ensuring the correct implementation of maintenance programs, work instructions, and technical specifications
- Monitoring the technical quality as well as the complete traceability of all work
- Responsibility for release processes and documentation
- Participation in audits, authority inspections, and certifications
- Support in the continuous development of the ECM system
Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Implementation of legal requirements (BAV, ERA, ECM, occupational safety)
- Analysis of faults, technical deviations, and damage cases
- Initiation and follow-up of improvement and prevention measures
- Promotion of a sustainable safety and quality culture
Economy and Further Development
- Co-responsibility for budget, cost control, and investment planning
- Optimization of processes, workshop workflows, and resource use
- Support for modernization and digitalization projects
- Strategic further development of the workshop area
Our Expectations
Professional Qualifications
- Completed technical basic training in the field of rail vehicles, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or comparable
- Further education at HF level or comparable higher technical qualification is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in rolling stock maintenance or railway maintenance
- Sound knowledge of ECM requirements as well as relevant maintenance processes
- Leadership experience in a workshop, maintenance, or technical line function
- Good knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements in the railway environment
- Experience with ABACUS, maintenance systems, or comparable digital tools is an advantage
