About the job

Since 2014, Gellert Hof in Basel has offered a home to around 134 residents. The facility includes living areas for general as well as psychogeriatric care and nursing, a nursing group for people with dementia and age-related visual impairment, as well as a residential area. Additionally, Bethesda Park houses 62 apartments with their own Spitex service for independent living in old age, located in close proximity to Gellert Hof.

The Gellert Hof retirement centre is part of Bethesda Alterszentren AG, a network organisation of various retirement centres in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, rooted in an open Christian value culture.

Health Specialist (100%)

• You share responsibility for basic and treatment care with the aim of achieving the best possible individual well-being for our residents
• You regularly take on daily responsibility
• Participation in exciting projects rounds off your range of tasks

• Qualification as a Health Specialist EFZ
• Ideally, you have professional experience in long-term care or a strong motivation to enter long-term care
• You are a team player, flexible, possess high empathy, and enjoy caring for elderly people
• Enjoy working in a lively team
• You have strong social skills, organisational abilities, and enjoy learning new things
• German language skills; very good spoken/written; Swiss German: an advantage
