Legal Intern, 80% (fixed-term employment for 6 months)
The HEKS legal advice center for asylum seekers in Aargau offers legal advice and representation to asylum seekers, refugees, and temporarily admitted persons.
To support our team in Aarau, we are looking for a motivated individual to start immediately or by agreement as
Your main tasks are:
- Support for lawyers in legal submissions to the Federal Administrative Court, the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), and cantonal authorities
- Legal clarifications and individual case clarifications
- Independent drafting of legal correspondence
- Telephone and personal legal advice
- Participation in hearings
- Assistance in organizing workshops and events
Ideally, you bring the following:
- Study of law (BLaw or MLaw)
- Interest in asylum and immigration law issues
- Very good written expression
- High communication skills and sensitivity in dealing with people from different cultures
- Good foreign language skills, especially in English and French or Italian, additional languages are an advantage
- Flexibility, independence, and high resilience
