Your Tasks
Professional patient care: You professionally care for emergency patients in a dynamic urban environment according to current guidelines and transport them to the appropriate target hospital.
Expand knowledge: You regularly participate in mandatory medical and tactical training and further education to maintain and develop your skills.
Ensure operational readiness: You provide operational services to maintain the readiness of modern equipment, vehicles, and devices at all times.
Your Profile
Experience: You already have experience as a Dipl. Paramedic HF or wish to gain such experience with us.
Personality: You gladly contribute your committed, motivated, and resilient personality to the team. You possess strong professional, self, and social skills and enjoy continuous learning.
Education: You have completed training as a Dipl. Paramedic HF or an equivalent foreign qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross. Additionally, you hold a driving licence category C1/D1.
Language: Flawless written and spoken German skills; a foreign language is advantageous.
Insight into our Work
The rescue service as part of the Department of Justice and Security includes the fire brigade, ambulance, military, civil protection, and operational support. It is committed to various tasks for the safety and health of the population. In total, around 300 employees are engaged – they provide first aid for health problems, intervene in fires and other incidents to protect people, animals, the environment, and property, and provide various cross-sectional services. All these activities directly benefit the people of Basel-Stadt and the region.
