In this newly created position, you will play a central role in building and further developing our transport logistics. We are establishing a central transport dispatch for the whole of Switzerland and introducing a new route planning system for this purpose. You will actively shape the transport logistics with around 20 vehicles and four warehouse locations. You will take responsibility for the entire transport process – from the provision of goods to delivery to the customer. You will lead your team, stay close to the action and also manage dispatch yourself.
What awaits you with us
- Building and further developing the central transport dispatch for the whole of Switzerland in close cooperation with our four warehouse locations.
- Overall responsibility for the transport process from the provision of goods to on-time delivery to the customer.
- Leadership and coordination of our transport logistics with around 20 vehicles in close cooperation with our warehouse logistics.
- Active participation in daily dispatch – you plan and manage dispatch yourself and pitch in where needed.
- Introduction of a new route planning system as well as optimisation of routes in terms of utilisation, cost-effectiveness and delivery quality.
- Active involvement in the digitalisation of the entire delivery process to the customer in collaboration with the project team.
- Professional and personnel management of the transport team as well as promotion of constructive collaboration.
- Negotiations with external transport companies and their support as well as ensuring economical and reliable cooperation.
What you bring with you
- Several years of experience in transport logistics and dispatch, ideally with leadership experience
- Training or further education in logistics/transport
- Experience with digital tools and route planning systems
- Entrepreneurial thinking, organisational talent and a pronounced hands-on mentality
- Independent, solution-oriented working style and enjoyment of collaboration with various locations
- Very good German language skills
