What you can achieve
- Responsibility for independently defined product groups in the area of medical consumables with strategic foresight, including the development and implementation of product group strategies
- Conducting contract negotiations on equal footing, obtaining offers, analyzing proposals, and ensuring optimal conditions while considering quality, supply security, and costs
- Analysis of procurement markets, identification of optimization potentials, and driving innovation projects as well as standardizations within the assigned portfolio
- Active participation in cross-departmental projects (e.g., digitization, sustainability, process optimization) and targeted contribution of your expertise
- Support in the continuous development of procurement processes and procurement guidelines at the University Hospital Basel
What you bring
- Completed business or technical studies (FH/Uni) or equivalent training with relevant further education in purchasing
- Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in healthcare or in a regulated environment
- Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and entrepreneurial action, experience in managing and developing suppliers as well as in designing long-term supply strategies
- Proficient in SAP and very good MS Office skills
- Communicative, proactive personality with high personal responsibility, assertiveness, and team orientation
