About the job
Get to know the correctional system and help shape correctional practice? (Internship) 80 - 100%Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for criminal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, as well as the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance.
The Main Department of Correctional Facilities Zurich (VEZ) – one of seven main departments of JuWe – comprises four facilities with different types of detention. A total of over 300 incarcerated persons are cared for. The directorate supports the institutions with its specialist services in fulfilling their legal mandate.
The specialist service for Project and Quality Management is looking for a reliable, empathetic, and team-oriented person as of 01.04.2026 who is willing to creatively contribute to ongoing projects and the further development of daily correctional processes. The internship duration is limited to twelve months.

- …you have completed a university degree in psychology or sociology (Bachelor or Master level) or are about to graduate
- …you possibly already have experience in project work and/or qualitative process development or are open to gaining such experience
- …you ideally have already had contact with various tools for project/quality and/or data management and/or digital collaboration
- …you like to work independently, structured, and systematically and have an analytical mindset
- …you bring humor and possess a high degree of empathy and sensitivity in dealing with different target groups
