About the job
The Public Prosecutor's Office for Adults and Juveniles of the Canton of Glarus is responsible for the prosecution of crimes, offences, and violations. It works closely with the Glarus Cantonal Police. Furthermore, it is the first-instance administrative authority responsible for administrative measures in road traffic and handles requests for legal assistance in criminal matters.
We are looking for a
Public Prosecutor for Adults and Juveniles 50%
starting 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, based in Glarus.
Responsibilities
- Independently conducting criminal investigations against adults and juveniles
- Filing charges and representing cases before courts of first and second instance
- On-call duty (optional)
Requirements
- Completed law degree, ideally with additional qualifications (lawyer's licence, CAS/MAS Forensics or similar)
- Swiss citizenship
- Professional experience in prosecution, judiciary, or legal practice
- Resilience, decisiveness, and assertiveness
- Commitment and goal-oriented thinking and acting
