Senior Development Engineer: Mechanical / Technical Project Management (80-100%)
Your chance to take responsibility for the mechanics of our actuators and sensors from concept to series production.
With us, you develop mechanical components and modules for actuators and sensors and take on the technical project management in the mechanical department. You combine technical quality, cost-effectiveness, and suitability for series production. Together with specialists from various disciplines and external partners, you resolve complex development issues.
- You develop mechanical components and modules for actuators and sensors in building automation.
- From the system requirements, you derive the mechanical requirements and develop and document the concept design.
- Together with specialists from electronics, architecture, and sensor technology as well as product owners, you evaluate technical solutions. You balance quality, cost, time, and risks against each other.
- In the technical project management of the mechanical domain, you set goals, coordinate the assigned experts, and align efforts and planning with project management.
- You ensure requirements, standards, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness – in close coordination with project staff from various areas as well as with suppliers.
- You plan and coordinate the verification of your domain, assess the maturity level, and drive series capability and approval forward.
- Professional coaching and mentoring of domain professionals in the mechanical team.
- Participation in lifecycle and maintenance topics, quality cases, and the further development of our development processes.
- Technical degree at Bachelor or Master level (FH, ETH or University), e.g. in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or precision engineering.
- You bring many years of experience in mechanical development and verification of development results. You have gained this experience in a complex, multidisciplinary development environment, ideally in manufacturing industry.
- You are familiar with complex plastic injection moulded parts from several years of practice.
- You have experience in technical project management (deadlines, risks, resources, quality) and in technical supplier management.
- A great plus would be your experience in gearbox design or the development of water-carrying components such as valves or flow bodies.
- For products in high volumes, you ensure mechanical quality. Manufacturability, assemblability, robustness, and tolerance chain analysis are part of your daily work.
- Confident handling of 3D-CAD (ideally Siemens NX), FEM simulation, and relevant standards (ISO-GPS, UL). Experience with DFMEA, SAP, and PLM systems is an advantage.
- You are a goal-oriented, pragmatic personality, lead professionally even without formal line responsibility, and create clarity about what needs to be achieved.
- Very good English skills; good German skills are desirable, especially for internal communication.
We look forward to getting to know you.
