About us
The Railway Workers' Building Cooperative Nidau is a cooperative that acts thoughtfully and in solidarity. It offers secure living in 199 apartments and terraced single-family houses in four neighbourhoods in Nidau and Biel.
Due to the retirement of a long-standing employee, we are looking to strengthen our small and well-coordinated team with a committed and versatile person who enjoys getting stuck in and actively shaping our cooperative.
Your tasks
- Supervision, inspection and cleaning of our own properties in Nidau and Biel
- Maintenance and upkeep of the outdoor areas with the opportunity to contribute to and further develop natural garden care and biodiversity
- Carrying out minor repair, maintenance and craft work as well as support with conversions and renovations
- Inspection and supervision of technical facilities
- Carrying out winter services as required
- Collaboration within the caretaker team and the office
Your profile
- Practical experience in caretaking, building maintenance, groundskeeping or a craft profession
- Versatile manual skills and technical understanding
- Interest in natural and biodiversity-promoting care and design of outdoor spaces
- Independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style
- Enjoyment of teamwork and contact with residents
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form, French skills an advantage
- Driving licence category B; category BE an advantage
