Head of Finance & Human Resources (80%)
Start date: by arrangement | Permanent position
The Social Services Association of the Dielsdorf District carries out tasks on behalf of the 22 district municipalities in the areas of adult protection, various advisory and supervisory specialist offices, and manages the KESB Dielsdorf District.
Help us shape the further development of the SDBD! Our finance and human resources administration plays a central role for the entire association. For this, we are looking for an experienced individual who takes responsibility, leads a small specialist team, and actively develops our financial processes as well as cross-departmental projects.
You bring solid experience in finance and accounting, enjoy thinking beyond your own specialist area, and want to utilise scope for creativity in a versatile leadership role? Then we look forward to meeting you.
Your tasks
- You lead the Finance & Human Resources Administration department both professionally and personally and develop it together with your team of three specialists.
- You are responsible for the annual financial statement, budget, forecasts, and financial planning of the association and further develop our controlling.
- You supervise the financial accounting, ensure liquidity planning, and collaborate with the audit office, RPK, and other external bodies.
- You are responsible for personnel administration and ensure deputising for the monthly payroll accounting.
- You further develop the risk management of the SDBD – especially the internal control system (ICS), security organisation, and in cooperation with central services, the areas of data protection and information security.
- You lead cross-departmental strategic projects on behalf of the management, particularly in the areas of digitalisation and organisational development.
- You coordinate internal specialist departments as well as external partners and service providers and ensure a needs-based, economical, and practical implementation.
Your profile
- Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in business administration, public management, or a comparable field, or a higher qualification in finance and accounting (e.g. professional certificate in finance and accounting, HF/FH)
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting in a municipality, an association, or a comparable public-law organisation
- Sound knowledge of public accounting / HRM2 as well as experience with annual financial statements, budgeting, and controlling
- Leadership experience or proven experience in professional leadership. Further training in personnel management is an advantage or can be completed afterwards.
- Experience in human resources and project management is an advantage.
- Proficient use of Abacus and MS Office, especially Excel
Personal strengths
- Leadership qualities: You provide orientation, promote employees, and work reliably with different stakeholders.
- Quality orientation: You work independently, reliably, and carefully, keeping deadlines and resources in view.
- Organisational talent: You set priorities, maintain an overview even with parallel topics, and reliably bring projects to completion.
- Communication skills: You mediate between different interests appropriately for the audience and communicate solution-oriented and clearly in speech and writing.
Why join us?
With us, you take your next professional step. In this role, you can build on your background in public finance and develop further in new, interesting areas. You lead the association’s strategic projects, for example in organisational development, and work directly with management. This gives you the opportunity to help shape the further development of our organisation beyond your own specialist area.
- Modern working conditions: home office options, contemporary IT infrastructure, and short decision-making paths
- Scope for creativity: You can actively shape financial management, processes, digitalisation, and organisational development.
