KISIM Customer Conference 2025 in Frauenfeld under the Sign of KISIM+

The KISIM Customer Conference on 17 September 2025 at the Cantonal Hospital Frauenfeld was entirely dedicated to development, dialogue and concrete solutions for the digital transformation in healthcare. At the centre: KISIM+, our new platform solution with which we take the KIS to the next level.

Progress on a Solid Foundation

This year we have already achieved many successes: 153 product updates, 4493 processed customer enquiries and four successfully implemented KIS introductions. In addition, a significantly grown team with now over 250 employees.

This development motivates us, as the KIS market is changing rapidly: uniform standards (once-only principle), EPD requirements, increasing demands on interoperability and security as well as the targeted use of AI set new standards and open up additional possibilities.

From KISIM to KISIM+

With KISIM+ we respond to these changes with a platform solution that is modular, open and intelligently expandable. Professional proximity, Swiss market knowledge and close co-creation with hospitals remain central components. At the same time, with KISIM+ we create a modern, future-proof architecture.

The platform offers structured documentation, AI-supported functions, open standards (HL7, FHIR, openEHR) as well as a workflow engine for (partially) automated processes. With this, we accompany hospitals on the path to a data-driven institution with the goal of noticeably improved patient care.

KISIM Technology on the Way to Web Technology

Already 80% of our customers rely on the new web technology, which has formed the basis since 2018 for central modules such as patient dashboard, service recording and bed capacity tool.

In Dialogue with Our Customers

As every year, the afternoon with the market stands formed the practical highlight of our conference. Our experts presented current innovations, including:

• The new medication solution with central active ingredient management, intelligent search and the "6-R" safety logic.
• KISIM Mobile with extended Closed Loop Medication V2.0, generic photo documentation and efficient search.
• The disposition/bed capacity tool with KOGU workflow, complexity counter and flexible resource control.
• Improvements in RIS, for example through simplified forms and automatic adoption of relevant patient data.

Our ISMS was also a topic: We meet the requirements according to ISO/IEC 27001, promote awareness in the team and systematically integrate security aspects into all processes.
