Project Manager Control Valves (100%)
Responsible for the technical development and implementation of valve upgrades, retrofits, and repair solutions for control valves used worldwide. The position ensures that marketable and economically attractive service solutions are developed and successfully introduced in close collaboration with product management, engineering, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Technical support for product management and global sales regarding valve service solutions
- Analysis and evaluation of upgrade, retrofit, and repair possibilities for control valves
- Conducting Concept & Feasibility (C&F) studies
- Selection of suitable valve platforms and conducting fit, form, and function analyses including risk assessment
- Leading product development and product modification projects within the stage-gate process
- Development, design, and qualification of prototypes for customer applications
- Ensuring compliance with project goals regarding cost, quality, profitability, and deadlines
- Close collaboration with engineering teams, valve laboratories, and field application engineers worldwide
- Definition of installation, commissioning, and repair processes for service organisations
- Support during technical customer visits as well as international travel (approx. 5–10%)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, or a comparable field
- Solid experience in engineering, product development, or technical project management
- Experience in an international high-tech environment
- Knowledge of control valves, control technology, or related technologies is an advantage
- Experience in vacuum or coating technology (SEMI environment) is an advantage
- Structured and goal-oriented working style as well as strong problem-solving skills
- Confident use of MS Office and project management tools
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- High communication skills, resilience, and team orientation
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel
