This is how you ensure electricity in Switzerland

You are responsible for the operation of various applications that, for example, calculate the optimal utilization of the Swiss transmission grid. Your role includes:

• Interface function between application users, IT, and software suppliers
• Identification and evaluation of business requirements in collaboration with business users as well as independent planning of new releases, updates, and testing
• Continuous improvement of applications regarding operability, availability, and cost efficiency as well as compliance with agreed SLAs and cyber-security requirements
• Automation of operational processes using Github / DevOps
• Providing 24/7 on-call service

We are looking for a communicative, team-oriented, and analytical personality who is not afraid of complex contexts and shares our passion for an agile working environment. You have a quick grasp and great motivation to familiarize yourself with new topics. In addition, you bring the following:

Several years of experience in application management and familiarity with user support, alternatively several years of experience as a developer with solid knowledge of application operations

Practical experience in development and operation of applications as well as in the working methods and security requirements of/in DevOps

Practical experience with at least one programming language (preferably Python, Java, or C#), knowledge of IT architectures, technologies, and interfaces as well as in application monitoring (preferably ELK Stack)

Knowledge in data, configuration, and interface management as well as knowledge of ITIL processes (ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage)

Practical experience in requirement engineering and specification creation

High customer orientation, quick comprehension, and assertiveness

Very good German and English skills
