BFFWe are the leading intercultural education center for the topics: bridging programs, care, health, hotel management and housekeeping, early childhood education, social pedagogy, facility management, and continuing education. 780 learners in bridging programs, 2600 learners in vocational basic education, 500 students in the higher technical schools, and around 1400 course participants in continuing education attend an educational program with us. The training begins for learners according to Art. 32 BBV without a diploma at the vocational level II, learners in a training company in the Canton of Bern and All information and documents can be found on our website www.bffbern.ch. Assistant Health and Social Care: This is a profession in which you BYOD pay no tuition fees if this is covered within the framework of an intercantonal agreement. Learners according to Art. 32 BBV who have a diploma at secondary level II pay tuition fees of CHF 600 per school year. Additional costs: CHF 100 material fee and approx. CHF 300 for teaching materials over the entire training period. The admission to the training takes place after the conclusion of an apprenticeship contract with a training company recognized by the Education and Cultural Directorate of the Canton of Bern. Learners with an out-of-canton training company and learners according to Art. 32 with out-of-canton civil residence pay no tuition fees. Further contacts:

Job profile
As an Assistant Health and Social Care, you accompany and care for people of all ages and support them in managing everyday life. You work in outpatient and inpatient institutions and can work in both the health and social sectors. You have successfully completed compulsory schooling. You can express yourself orally and in writing in the German language (language level at least B1). You complete your practical vocational training, for example, in a hospital, a retirement and nursing home, or with Spitex. Health, high resilience, flexibility, and teamwork complete the profile of requirements. At BFF you attend vocational school classes. The two-year basic training is supplemented by attending inter-company courses. You attend vocational school one day per week during your training period. The lessons include professional knowledge, general education, and sports. Main topics of the lessons (action competencies) are: - Participating and supporting in health and body care - Accompanying and supporting clients in their daily lives - Supporting in the household - Observing and implementing hygiene and safety - Participating in administration, logistics, and work organization - Developing and observing the professional role and cooperation

Register
Graduation
The graduation allows direct entry into everyday professional life as an Assistant Health and Social Care. With the federal vocational certificate, you have access to a three-year basic training, e.g., to become a Health Specialist EFZ or a Care Specialist EFZ. With very good practical and school performance, the path to a shortened two-year basic training is open to you. The training ends with the Federal Vocational Certificate Assistant Health and Social Care EBA. The registration is done by the Middle School and Vocational Education Office of the Canton of Bern after the conclusion of an apprenticeship contract.
