Technical Manager (a)

- 80 – 100%
- Permanent position
About the job
When everything runs smoothly, technology hardly gets noticed. Your work makes the difference.
A light that turns on at the right moment. A system you can rely on. A digital tool that makes everyday life easier. At Sonnegg, you maintain far more than just buildings and systems: you create the conditions for around 64 residents to live well and about 80 employees to do their jobs well.
What makes your work special
Your scope ranges from building services to ICT, from resident rooms to strategic planning. Sometimes you get hands-on yourself, sometimes you lead your team member or develop a solution for tomorrow with management and the external IT consultant. You see what is needed and get it running.
Your tasks
- Keep buildings, building services and surroundings in good condition: you plan inspections, revisions and repairs proactively and document them carefully
- Responsibility for the personnel, organisational and professional leadership of one employee
- You ensure the technical setup and provision of resident rooms and support with technical concerns in everyday living.
- Safety is in your hands: from fire alarm systems and locking systems to wander protection and medical devices, including training and occupational safety
- Together with external specialists, you manage the first-level ICT support
- Secure access, data protection and emergency preparedness are also part of your area, as well as smaller IT projects and investments
- You keep an eye on the annual cycle, quarterly and emergency deployments, budget and costs.
- Coordination and support of projects in close collaboration with service providers
What you bring with you
- A vocational training in a craft and further education in building maintenance, ideally as a caretaker with a federal certificate of competence or with a comparable qualification
- At least five years of experience in a similar role and a comparable operation.
- Training as a safety officer and a strong awareness of protection and safety
- Sound knowledge of building technology, interest in ICT and enjoyment in working with external specialists
- An independent, structured way of working, clear and appreciative leadership as well as a cool head when many things happen at once
Further education in facility management is a plus. What counts in everyday life: your practical view, your reliability and your joy in contact with residents and employees.
What you can look forward to
- An exceptionally versatile role: in the morning you solve a technical issue in a resident’s room, in the afternoon you advance an ICT project
- Lots of personal responsibility and the opportunity to further develop buildings, safety and digitalisation with your ideas
- Direct contact with residents and employees – you experience how your solutions make everyday life at Sonnegg easier
- Short decision-making paths and close collaboration with management,
