For our company with around 40 employees, we are looking for a professionally experienced individual with several years of experience in finance and accounting who is ready to take on the responsibility for the finances of our SME. In this role, you report directly to the managing director.

Your tasks

You are responsible for the entire finance department without a leadership role and ensure a smooth process from operational accounting to annual financial statements, budgeting, controlling and reporting. Your diverse range of tasks includes:

• Independently managing accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial accounting including payment transactions and VAT returns
• Preparing monthly financial statements including forecasts and reporting
• Preparing annual financial statements including tax returns
• Payroll accounting including payroll processing and reconciliations with social security
• Preparing budgets in collaboration with management
• Controlling and cost centre accounting including contribution margin accounting
• Liquidity planning and calculations
• Participation in cross-departmental projects

Your profile

You enjoy working operationally, think entrepreneurially and recognise potential for process optimisation. At the same time, you see yourself as a competent sparring partner for management. Experience in a comparable overall responsibility is an advantage but not a requirement.

• Solid knowledge of finance and accounting, ideally complemented by further training as a finance and accounting specialist or a comparable qualification
• Several years of practical experience in finance and accounting, at least 5 years, including responsibility for financial statements
• A structured, precise and independent working style as well as a pragmatic and solution-oriented attitude
• Digital affinity and enthusiasm for further developing and making existing processes more efficient
• An open and team-oriented personality who enjoys working across departments and actively contributes to the development of SBD
• Confident use of common work tools and financial systems, especially Excel and ERP systems; knowledge of BI tools and Abacus is an advantage
